Good news, the Little Owl family I have been observing are now parents and the male is very busy feeding ever hungry beaks! After several months of watching and photographing they are now habituated to camera noise etc so I am pleased to release the first set of dates to photograph this beautiful and secretive owl.
Set on a beautiful private estate in North Norfolk, hide sessions are between 3pm and dark, a time when Little Owls are most active. These really are fantastic little characters to photograph and I have set up a variety of perches which he comes down onto to collect food, look out for rivals and preen!
