About me

My name is Jonathan Lewis. I am a professional photographer, ecologist and researcher with a lifelong interest in natural history. I have photographed the wildlife and cultures of an array of colourful countries and cultures with particular fondness of Peru, Mexico, New Zealand, Thailand, South Africa and Uganda.

My photographs are published both locally, nationally and internationally. My work is represented by Getty Images, Oxford Scientific and Photo Library. My images and articles are published on a regular basis in a range of newspapers, magazines and websites including The Times, The Guardian, National Geographic online and Wildlife Extra. I also undertake commissions and have completed projects for the World Wildlife Fund and The Rivers Trust amongst others.

I run a number of UK based and international wildlife photography courses, tours and workshops. I always aim to bring a mix of fun, professionalism and patience to each group I lead.

I look forward to meeting you soon on one of my courses or trips.
